With the further promotion of StB and fast travel initiatives in China’s aviation industry, the self check-in service has been developed and improved dramatically in recent years. The kiosks are now widely used in many domestic airports. The full implementation of 2D bar code has increased the online check-in number each year. The trends of mobile technology application make it reality to provide more convenient mobile check-in and other related mobile services. Nowadays mobile check-in and flight information push service have been implemented in a few domestic airlines. We also see biometrics identity technology is utilized at airport customs clearance and advanced self boarding technology is lately deployed at the domestic airport boarding gate as well etc.
